I founded this site as a compliment to the twitter account (@climatebill) I had created to follow news and updates on the Waxman-Markey bill after it was released from committee in the House. I am a student at the University of Oregon working on my degree in environmental studies (with a minor in computer science). I am a climate activist and I got particularly interested in climate legislation when I attended the PowerShift ‘09 conference in Washington DC.

I got involved in the site from following @climatebill on Twitter. I’m a rising third-year environmental law student at University of Maryland, where I helped organize our 2009 Focus the Nation conference. I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2005, where I majored in History and minored in Environmental Studies and first became an environmental activist by working with fellow members of the Dartmouth Greens and Dartmouth Environmental Conservation Organization.

I simply want to say, “Hurray! Let’s make it happen.” And, ask, how do we counteract the nay sayer Energy Citizens?

Do you support a climate treaty that involves sending 1% of U.S. GDP to developing countries?
